First,it was the 'BROKEN SOCIETY', then it was the 'BIG SOCIETY', and now it's the 'SICK SOCIETY',which Cameron can claim as his own.Nick Clegg may tell us he has a stake in the 'SICK SOCIETY', but we all know he is only pretending, and biting his tongue, like he does on every tory policy, until the next general election.
But what is the 'SICK SOCIETY'? It is an illness caused by every political party over-feeding us on aspirations for a material rich life, which many of us did achieve, and now they are attempting to put us on a CRASH DIET while we're still on the main course.
The trouble with CRASH DIETS is, they invariably make us even more sick.
We're sick of THE TREBLING OF UNIVERSITY FEE, the CLOSING OF COMMUNITY CENTERS,LIBRARIES,HOSPITAL CUTS,WELFARE CUTS.POLICE CUTS, MILLIONAIRE CABINET MINISTERS TELLING THE POOR TO LIVE ON LESS,and THE HUMBUG OF PARLIAMENTARY DEBATE.
One cut wont touch everyone, but all the cuts will, and that is how the sins of dissatisfaction infiltrate the the fabric of our society. Every TV debate on the riots never reach a conclusion because the debate is swamped by every issue under the sun. It's a fact that many issues are involved in creating David Cameron's SICK SOCIETY, and each one should be fully understood without fear or favour to any political party.Clearly, it is not something David Cameron would wish for,but it is the only way society will ever reach the Promised Land of true equality.
Cameron's SICK SOCIETY; 1/ THE TREBLING OF UNIVERSITY FEES.
----------------------------------------------------------
A University education was once the sole preserve of the rich, and if we are not careful, it could be again. Before the second world war only 2% of 18 year olds attended university, which didn't improve until 1960 when the Anderson Committee recommended grants for students from families unable to provide funds.
Universities exist for students from all classes to achieve their full intellectual potential, which is the first objective, but it is also and opportunity for students, from all strata of society to mix.even it means the disadvantaged watching the advantaged enjoying the red brick uni social functions.
All classes have to mix from cradle to grave;this principle has to apply to all education if society is ever to become harmonized; don't mix, and the present ghettos of the disenfranchised will grow and grow. It means public schools accepting working class kids from disadvantaged families as boarders, not just for a day,but for 5 years. The first 2 years are the toughest, but it does work,it worked for this writer.
Flying visits from David Cameron, with Nick Clegg in tow, to inner city area for a photo opportunity should be a signal bringing the poor and the rich closer together, but we know it is just an exercise in reminding them of the members of society who should be kept in their place, but HOW,that is the only problems that occupy their minds.
The trebling of tuition fees isn't the end,but the beginning of forever shutting the door to higher education for the disadvantaged. The coalition claim their policy isn't wrong, just the presentation. The presentation will always be wrong for as long sa they just focus on the thin end of the wedge where the interest rate is 0% to 3%.
The coalition may not wont to talk too much about the thick end of the wedge when repayment dramatically increases when earnings are over 41k pounds pa, but school leavers aren't stupid and know the thick end of the wedge is at the heart of their concerns.
41k may sound a lot,and is for a single person living in a bed sit, but is not a King's ransom when planning for a family, and this is what could put students off committing themselves to 30 to 50k of debt.
Scotland and Wales know the only way to a fair and stable society is to offer free university education, which begs the question, why doesn't the coalition understand this simple principle?
CAMERON'S SICK SOCIETY 2/NHS REFORMS
-------------------------------------
The NHS REFORMS will be better understand we give it the real name, NHS BREAK-UP. The TORY led COALITION have crafted the health not to immediately break-up the NHS, BUT to open the door to the breaking-up of our much loved NHS,and the people know this.
Cameron(forget Clegg,he's just along for the ride)is returning our health service into the hands of the GPs, just as it was before 1948 when Aneurin Bevan stuffed their mouths with gold to get them on board the NHS
If you really think the cameron health service will always be FREE AT THE POINT OF NEED, forget it!It may take a year or two, but the consortia will introduce charges, and they'll do this by moving the point of need away from the GP's surgery
And they will be allowed to offer consultation to private patients. All this, and more, will be introduced by stealth, step by step, without fanfare, not until you understand that Cameron knows more about stealth than health will you get a glimpse of his future intention for our NHS
The people are sick of Cameron's rush to break-up the NHS ,and they would be even more sick if they could read what is really going on in Cameron's mind.

THE COALITION MARRIAGE

PART ONE; The Marriage of CONvenience

The courtship between the two party leaders, Cameron and Clegg, was so offensively unpleasant, no one believed they would ever get engaged, never mind get married, but they did get engaged... behind closed doors because they didn't want the outside world to ever know what cringing comprising words of love were said.
Calamity Clegg wanted nothing more than to be loved, and was blind to the political machinations of Dodgy Dave, and so they got married.
Whatever unkind things they said about each other, is now in cold storage until the next election, and they want nothing more than to tell the world how much they are devoted to each other.
The marriage was very low key, but carefully planned, with nothing being left to chance. Dave protected his party's fortunes with a copper bottom pre-nup, and Nick used every evasive ploy to avoid having the marriage consummated, just in case, at some future date, he had to make a quick exit.
