PART ONE; The Marriage of CONvenience

The courtship between the two party leaders, Cameron and Clegg, was so offensively unpleasant, no one believed they would ever get engaged, never mind get married, but they did get engaged... behind closed doors because they didn't want the outside world to ever know what cringing comprising words of love were said.

Calamity Clegg wanted nothing more than to be loved, and was blind to the political machinations of Dodgy Dave, and so they got married.

Whatever unkind things they said about each other, is now in cold storage until the next election, and they want nothing more than to tell the world how much they are devoted to each other.

The marriage was very low key, but carefully planned, with nothing being left to chance. Dave protected his party's fortunes with a copper bottom pre-nup, and Nick used every evasive ploy to avoid having the marriage consummated, just in case, at some future date, he had to make a quick exit.
